MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT
P.E.T Care Campus - Joint Venture - First of Its Kind
The Friends of the C/PC Animals made a major announcement at Fur Ball 2010.
We appreciate your continued support of our efforts to help the animals in our community.
The P.E.T. Care Campus (P stands for Pets, E for Education and T for Training) will be an exciting collaborative venture bringing together:
•Cookeville/Putnam Co. Animal Shelter
•Humane Society Spay/Neuter Clinic
•Tennessee Tech University
•Friends of Cookeville/Putnam County Animals
To create :
- A new Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter
- A new Humane Society Spay/Neuter Clinic
- A visitor education center and resource for pet owners, including a dog training site for hosting pet clinics, classes and shows.
- An off-leash dog park, including a pre-adoption play area.
- A residence for pre-vet students to live, work and study while serving in the shelter and clinic for experiential learning opportunities.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! As we embark on an ambitious capital campaign to fund this project, we hope that you will be a part of making the P.E.T. Care Campus a reality and contribute generously. This is a wonderful opportunity to really make a difference for the animals in our community, but we need the support of our community!

Ballroom Dance Lessons! Make your FUR BALL reservations by December 31st and receive 3 free lessons taught by the fabulous Carol and Bob Harwood! Lessons are on Friday, January 6th, 13th and 20th from 7 – 8 p.m. at the Cane Creek Recreation Center! Come learn the “Peabody” – a dance from the 20’s this year, too!!!
